IEM's Cat3DA (Camera-Tracked 3D Audio Player)

Cat3DA
Our Cat3DA player (Camera-Tracked 3D Audio Player) uses the webcam of the users PC/laptop to track the users motion. So the user can move
around to explore the soundfield. The sound sources are encoded into
3rd order Ambisonics and are decoded using the MagLS binaural decoder. Therefore please wear headphones while listening. Click here to go to the audio player.
If you open the player, you will find a graphical representation, like the picture beside. In the big graphic the sound sources are displayed as red points and the
listeners position is plotted by a green point. The green line denotes the orientation of the users head. In the smaller graphic there is a
"confidence light". It shows green, when the users head is tracked successfull, yellow, if tracking is critical, and red, if tracking is not possible.

Cat3DA with video
Our Cat3DA player in combination with video, uses the webcam of the users PC/laptop to track the users head rotation. So the user can listen interactively the audio.
The sound sources are encoded into 3rd order Ambisonics and are decoded using the MagLS binaural decoder.

If you open the player, you will find a video window and beside a playlist (where you can see the videos, which are made available). Below
the video window, you find a symbol, which shows the horizontal head rotation of the user and a "confidence light". It shows green, when the users head is tracked successfull, yellow, if tracking is critical, and red, if tracking is not possible.
